Mr. Md. Rowshan Kabir, a Public Health Nutritionist, has strong academic background, sound technical knowledge and competencies on the operationalization of public health nutrition services and brings in over 15 years’ work experience with several international NGOs and UN agencies. He has completed Master of Public Health (MPH) from State University of Bangladesh, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Dhaka, and is trained on diverse relevant fields.
He specializes in spearheading development projects that focus on urban nutrition, workforce nutrition, community nutrition, nutrition governance, gender based violence (GBV), WASH, food security, livelihoods, adolescent nutrition, maternal infant & young child nutrition (MIYCN), community based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), management of severe acute malnutrition (SAM), and early childhood development (ECD).
He has immense expertise in supporting projects and conducting assessments on health system strengthening, implementation research (IR), knowledge, attitude, practice, behavior (KAPB), social & behavioral change communication (SBCC), and disaster risk reduction (DRR) with proven expertise on results-based project management, real time monitoring & evaluation, designing and management of quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, report writing, development of training manual/handouts and SBCC materials, training needs assessment, organizing and facilitation of trainings, and multi-sectoral coordination. He has also worked to support the forcibly displaces Myanmar nationals (FDMN) in Cox’s Bazar at the start of influx in 2019.
Mr. Rowshan demonstrates keen ability to scale up innovative nutrition and public health initiatives that cater to the needs of the underprivileged communities tailored to support sustainable economic growth.
