Dr. Mohammad Abu Sayeed, the professor at the Department of Community Medicine, Ibrahim Medical College is well-known as a public health nutrition researcher in Bangladesh with extended national and international involvement. He has designed and led a large number of significant research works on a wide range of issues including nutrition, public health, child obesity, diabetes, hypertension and NCDs. More than eighty (80) research papers of Dr. Sayeed were published in different national and international journals and periodicals.
Dr. Sayeed has more than 30 years’ working experiences, supported both at the policy/strategy formulation and implementation level in/with major government nutrition and health programs and is a well-known “Nutritional Epidemiologist’ of international and UN agencies. He has been also working as an Independent Consultant with assignments on diverse area of disciplines. Dr. Sayeed holds MBBS degree, Diploma in Community Medicine (Public Health), Doctor of Medicine (Epidemiology), and PRP in Epidemiology.
